On July 23rd 2019, through PUBLIC NOTICE NUD/260310/2019/CMP, it was decided to suspend the authorization of new registrations of local accommodation establishments in the “conditional containment” areas, for 6 months, renewable for an equal period, until the Local Accommodation Regulation came into force.
By decision taken at a meeting on 27 April 2020 at the Town Hall of Porto, it was decided to revoke the resolution that determined the beginning of the regulatory procedure – PUBLIC NOTICE N.º1/238792/19/CMP and the resolution that approved the definition of the containment areas – PUBLIC NOTICE NUD/254724/2019/CMP, as per PUBLIC NOTICE NUD /159560/2020 /CMP.
Therefore, in order to encourage investment and tourism, the Local Accommodation Regulation and the respective containment areas have now been cancelled, and new registrations of local accommodation establishments can be submitted.
